Loose chunks of rock salt sit inside a drum-shaped wooden holder rather than being carved into one solid block. No two pieces come out quite the same, since it starts as a natural mineral, not a cast shape.
Lit from within, the gaps between the chunks let light spill out unevenly, giving a soft, honeyed glow with more flicker and texture than a solid lamp. It's pulled from blocks at the Khewra mine.

About the salt
Every piece is cut from natural rock salt mined at Khewra, in the Punjab region of Pakistan. Because it's a natural material, colour, shape and weight vary a little from piece to piece, so yours will be one of a kind.
Delivery & returns
Free standard UK delivery on orders over £30, or £2.50 below that. Standard delivery takes 2 to 3 working days to England, Scotland and Wales. Order Express by 2pm, Monday to Friday, for next-working-day delivery at £4.50.
You can return eligible items within 14 days of delivery, and return shipping is free. Please contact us first at hi@himalayansaltshop.co.uk. Opened edible salt and soap bars can't be returned for hygiene reasons. See our refund policy for full details.

Why does my salt lamp look wet?
Rock salt naturally draws in moisture from the air, so a lamp can look damp in a humid room. Leaving it switched on for a few hours a day helps keep it dry, and you can wipe any moisture away with a dry cloth.
What bulb does my lamp take?
Most of our natural salt lamps take an E14 15W bulb. Check your lamp's product page to be sure. Spare bulbs and replacement cables are in our Replacements collection.
Will my lamp look like the photo?
Every lamp is cut from natural rock salt, so colour, shape and weight vary a little from piece to piece. That natural variation is part of what makes each one unique, and it isn't a fault.
How quickly will it arrive?
Standard delivery takes 2 to 3 working days to England, Scotland and Wales, and it's free on orders over £30. Order Express before 2pm on a working day for next-working-day delivery.
