A block of rock salt cut into an elephant outline. It comes from the Khewra Salt Mine in Punjab, Pakistan. It's a decorative cut rather than a plain block, so it doubles as an ornament with the lamp switched off.
Lit, it gives off a mellow, low amber light through the thinner carved edges. Expect small differences in tone and pattern between pieces; that's the mineral, not a flaw.
