This 1.5-2kg salt lamp is a single block of rock salt. It comes from the Khewra Salt Mine in Punjab, Pakistan. Switched on, it throws a soft, honeyed glow across the room rather than a bright, even light, more fireplace than lamp.
At this weight it suits a desk or bedside table. Because each piece is natural rock rather than a mould, colour and veining shift slightly from one to the next.
