Loose chunks of rock salt sit inside a woven cane wooden holder rather than being carved into one solid block. Being cut from real rock rather than moulded, the shape and markings are never identical twice.
Lit from within, the gaps between the chunks let light spill out unevenly, giving a warm orange-pink glow with more flicker and texture than a solid lamp. It's sourced from Pakistan's Khewra Salt Range.
